Happy Armed Forces Day

I have nothing new to write about either of my guys at the moment. Aaryk is doing well as he can be, very tired, but well. I haven't heard from Brian since he sent me his address, so hopefully everything there is going well too!

Thanks for all your prayers and support!

Update on Brian

I got a letter from Brian today, the official 'here's my address' one and he asks that we all hold off on letters for a couple of weeks. I THINK it's because they get to do pushups for each one they get and he's having a tough time with the PT. That's just a guess, but seems to be what I recall Aaryk telling me too.

Also, they ask for us to put a big GREEN #1 on the back of the envelope for any mail so that they can process it quicker. That's for the 1st platoon.

He's doing okay, as of this letter he'd only been in the actual training for a week or so.

Please continue to pray for him!

Picture from Aaryk, postcard from Brian

Aaryk sent me another picture of him, this time at work, sitting on one of the trucks he was working on-

I also got a postcard from Brian this week, it just said,

"Made it alive finally, just lost all my hair."

That's my boy- brief, to the point, and only the important information!

Thank you to everyone who is writing to him, and praying for him!

Address for Brian!

Okay folks, I have an address for Brian at Basic Training. At the moment he can get letters but NO packages please. If you send a care package, his drill Sargent will certainly enjoy the goodies in it while Brian is doing pushups! ;)

PVT Schreiber, Brian M
F Co 2-60th Infantry Regiment 1st Platoon
193rd Infantry Brigade USATC&FJ
Fort Jackson, SC 29207-6100

UPDATE- put a big green #1 on the back of the envelope please, to note his platoon number.

(FYI- note he's using Schreiber, NOT Drake, as that is his legal name. If you send it to Drake, he won't get it!)

Having been through this a time or two now, I know how important getting mail is to guys in Basic. Letters from friends and family, cards of encouragement, or just cards to make him laugh will all be appreciated.

Thanks for your support!
