And the walls come down!
Sorry for the lack of updates here. On one hand, things have really settled down, and on the other gotten just crazy busy.
We're all fine, Brian will be home in November (not January) and if all goes according to plan he and Share will be getting married on Monday November 10th.
Aaryk and I are both working (Me at IKON again and Aaryk as a Armored Car driver), and life here is settling into a routine.
But, what sparked this entry was my reading this article online yesterday-
As Fears Ease, Baghdad Sees Walls Tumble
These are the walls that Aaryk's unit was responsible for putting up at the beginning of the surge. He told me that these are the Alaska barriers (18 ft tall), they also used Texas barriers (which are only 12 ft tall).
I just thought it was cool, not only to see them coming down, but to see the enormity of them to begin with!
