Umm...Happy New Year!
Well, at least it's still January!
Sorry for the lack of updates again. Things here are really starting to gear up for Aaryk's return in a couple months. Right now my plan is to find an apartment to rent in Fayetteville and be down there by March 1st. Aaryk should be home a couple of weeks give or take after that. So, I'm sorting and packing, and am just amazed at how much STUFF I've accumulated over the last year! (Okay, those of you who know me well won't be so surprised by that!)
Aaryk is doing well and getting antsy to be home. If you want to send him anything, it really needs to be in the mail by the first week of February so that it gets to him in time. Please don't send anything that he'll need to bring home with him though, as he's already having to pay to ship a bunch of stuff back (looks like I'm not the ONLY one to have accumulated stuff this year!). But he does love to hear from folks, even as they are gearing up to head home.
He has not had any internet access for the last month or so. So if you have emailed him and haven't heard back, that's why. He has to go down the the computer center, wait for hours, and then get his 15 minutes on one of the computers there. So, he hasn't had the time to do that much of late.
Brian is of in the wolds of the southern California desert at the moment. They are doing their pre-deployment training at Ft. Irwin there. He'll be there through the end of the month or so. Looks like they are heading to Afghanistan in the late spring. Hopefully, by that time, we'll be back to 12 month deployments. He and his long-time girlfriend Share are looking at getting married before he deploys, and much prayer is needed to get all the things that need to happen done in this time frame.
That's pretty much all of the goings on here right now. My other big projects include getting all of my folks' slides from the 70's scanned in to the computer, and playing with my new embroidery sewing machine. It is my hope that I can eventually make some extra money doing embroidered shirts/hats/whatever for people.
Thanks for your ongoing prayers and support, they mean more that we can ever adequately express!
