Alright...It's official

The 2nd Brigade Combat Team is headed to Afghanistan in early 2007.

That includes the 407th BSB and Aaryk.

They will be gone for 12 months.

This is, of course, unless something ELSE happens in the meantime that they get sent to handle...

Just wanted to keep you all informed. As we get closer to time and I know more, I'll make sure everyone is kept in the loop.

Retreat pictures!

Okay, I finally have the pictures from our Marriage Enrichment weekend up!

You can find them here-

PREP Marriage Enrichment weekend

The read only password to view this album is: kyrie

They are in order of what we did when. There really aren't any pictures of the sessions themselves, so this is pretty much everything ELSE we did that weekend!

Retreat Update

We had a WONDERFUL time on our Marriage Enrichment weekend last week! The couple whose place we took ended up being able to go as well, and we went to lunch and the Ripley's Aquarium with them on Saturday. Ripley's is a big deal in Myrtle beach apparently, because they have four different attractions. We did the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum on Friday and that was fun...weird, but fun.

I got to meet several of the guys and their wives from Aaryk's unit, and that was really nice.

The sessions at the retreat were geared more towards newlyweds, and about 90% of the couples there had been married less than 5 years. Over HALF had been married less than one year, and two couples less than one month! Even so, there were several things we got out of our time there.

I have a bunch of pictures, but it may be a while before I get to them. I had a 'Doh' moment when I put them on my computer and ended up putting ALL of my pictures and album pages into ONE folder. Over 3500 pieces! It was as if I'd taken years worth of sorted photos and dropped them all over the floor. The worst part is trying to sort out the ones I've used (which reside in a folder labeled 'shoebox') from the ones I haven't. Fortunately, I backed them all up on CD last month. So, while time consuming, I CAN get them back where they go....eventually!
